What is an REO / Bank Owned Property?
REO properties (real estate owned), also known as bank-owned properties, are residential and commercial real estate which have been foreclosed and taken over by the mortgage holders - typically banks and financial institutions. Bank REO properties are sold both at auctions and by listings with local real estate brokers.
